Artist Statement
I explore the natural world, enriching my life with the culture and history of the region. My mission is to record this beautiful land while it is still with us, unmarred by development. I believe in order to paint a landscape subject well, an artist must have a deep respect for the land and the people who own and nurture it. The culture of the South is deeply imbedded in my life. My effort is to speak to others about my love for rural, unspoiled land through my paintings.
