Leslie Peebles

Bio

Leslie Peebles has a BA in Studio Art from Tulane, and an MA in Art Education from UF. She taught Art for 17 years in local schools, and became a full time artist, traveling to shows, in 2009. Leslie has worked out of Sweetwater Print Cooperative since 1998.

SPC is a cooperative of abut 10 artists sharing the workspace and gallery on Main St. The community and equipment allowed me to continue to develop as a printmaker, and continues to support and nurture me as an artist. I draw the beauty of Florida, and my dreams, develop carvings on wood or linoleum from these ideas, roll them with inks, and print them on Sweetwater's presses. I create small editions of original prints at the studio, and take them on the road!
