Artist Bio

Christine draws her inspiration from the bright colors and light of Mexico, where she lived for four years; from the lush plant life of Florida; and from the expansive vistas of her native Colorado and the West. She has worked with painting and dying of fabric; with various printmaking techniques; and now with watercolor painting for thirty years. Since retiring from teaching art in Public schools Christine is pursuing her art full time and teaches some classes in her studio. She finds the more she immerses herself in her art, the more inspiration she finds. It is important to capture the beauty and calmness of the moment, so it may be shared with the viewer. She has shown her work in Mexico, Colorado, and Florida.

About the Studio

My studio is located in a former classroom on the property of Grace Presbyterian Church. It is a roomy, light-filled space with an open courtyard surrounded by the studios of the other three artists at Grace.

What to Expect

I will have examples of my work on display, and will have several works in progress to work on during the tour. I also set up an area where visitors can try their hand at watercolor painting!
