I paint exclusively in acrylics on canvas in what I call a “Contemporary Realism” style often mixing realism with abstract shapes. By layering multiple transparent washes I am able to realize brighter, more exciting colors. My themes are often narrative or allegorical, or just what I see around me including nature and people.

I was educated in Louisville, Kentucky at a four-year studio arts school where I learned many types of media with intense training in life drawing and painting, but also graphic design which often appears in my art.

My work has sold internationally in many countries as well as here in the states, and locally to Gainesville residents and businesses.

In the course of my career I have won over 30 Best In Show awards including the 2022 Best In Show at Winter Park Autumn Art Fair.
