Bio

Though I grew up in Mexico, I have also lived in the Ukraine, Bolivia, and now the United States; I am a biologist and a migrant exploring global citizenship, capturing the beauty of nature while spreading awareness about the mutual dependence among species and the importance of freedom of movement.

My artwork reflects my journey of discovery and the joy I find in learning. I employ ancient techniques used in the ceramics tradition of animal sculpture; using slips, terra sigillata, underglazes and mid range glazes to give color and firing the pieces a midrange ceramics temperature.
